Here are the modificaitons that Shana made to the pattern to fit her daughter:
"I increased the length by 2 inches. ( 1.5 in. on the bottom and .5 at the top.) I also had to let the waist out 2" on each side to fit over her fanny. I kept the width of the pant leg the same and added a small flare at the bottom.
Next pattern modification will include the waist adjustment (2") and also a bit more length at the ankle. Marina is 20 mos, but is 32 lbs and 35" tall. She is literally off the charts. Right now she pretty much wears a 3T."
Shana sent photos these to me so that I could put them on my website.
Thanks!
I just made some from the pant legs of an old pair of jeans! Sorts for mama, splitties for baby!
ReplyDeleteJeans! I love it! They're even a little absorbent for misses:)
ReplyDeletethanks for such a fabulous pattern! I just made a pair for my son (19mo) out of polar fleece and he loves them! He's so proud that he can use his potty completely by himself now. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!!! I was just about to donate some long sleeved Tshirts...I think that I will cut the arms off and make split crotch pants! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern! I have made about six pairs in fleece for my 6-month old son, and they are perfect for the cooler days, so I don't need to blast the heater to keep him easy to potty. I raved about them so much I had to make a pair for a friend. Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like them! We used them almost exclusively when ds was that age:) Enjoy!
